About the Artist

Kashaokiwaki Wahpepah is a Kickapoo and Sac & Fox artist and beadworker from Los Angeles, California. Kasha learned to bead from her family at 18 and fell in love with the craft and connection to her culture. Kashaokiwaki Ikwe, whose name means Woman of Peace in the Kickapoo language, started Peaceful Beadwork while studying at Dartmouth College.
